The three trees that stand at the very lip of this hollow have sheltered many, many generations of cats who come once a moon in a peaceful Gathering. That is the only night when no fighting is allowed.

A great tree grows in MapleClan territory, called the Silver Maple. Silverstar, first leader of this Clan, recognized it as having a kind of kinship with her. She settled down in this area and chose to call her Clan MapleClan, after the maple that identified the perfect place for them to live.

This hollow is rimmed with plenty of plants and filled with leaves. The MapleClan medicine cat can find most herbs around it, and its firm leafy ground is perfect for the training of apprentices.

| The Mystery Oak
After leaving MapleClan due to a disdain of Silverstar's infatuation with the Silver Maple, Mysterystar, the first leader of this Clan, was forced to eat crow when she felt an instictive friendship connection with the Mystery Oak. She apologized to Silverstar, and named OakClan for the tree that had indicated their ideal territory.

| Riverbed Valley
The river that runs through OakClan territory is at its slowest here, and it has carved out a canyon with gently sloping sides here. Herbs that their medicine cat needs flourish among the reeds at the edge, and the apprentices train on the slopes, challenged by the difficult terrain.

| The Shadow Sycamore
Upon leaving MapleClan with his friends, Shadowstar found a large sycamore tree waiting for him. He felt that it was almost like a friend, and so decided that he would live there- in SycamoreClan.

| Stagnant Pool
Not too far from SycamoreClan's camp, there is a pool of water that simply sits. It was once merely a hole in the ground of unknown origin, but the river which flows through the high ground nearby floodedover into it. Although cats cannot drink that water, it is very nutritious for the herbs their medicine cat can gather here, and mentors often bring their apprentices here and to a nearby clearing where they learn vital skills of obedience, battle, and judgment.
